Marking the second anniversary of Just Urbane with a celebration of achievement at the first ever Just Urbane Awards 2019 and the unveiling of a refreshed look for the magazine
The month of June is of special significance to us at Just Urbane, for this is the month when we celebrate the birth of our magazine. To mark this special occasion and to recognise the talents, skills and achievements of individuals across spectrums, we at Just Urbane hosted the first ever Just Urbane Awards at the St. Regis in Mumbai on June 1. On the sidelines of the gala awards ceremony that turned out to be a huge success graced by Bollywood glitterati and other celebrities, we also unveiled a refreshed look that will make it even easier for our readers to spot their favourite lifestyle magazines.
Presided over by guest of honour H E Zainal Azlan Mohd. Nadzir, Consul General of Malaysia, the inaugural Just Urbane Awards featured scintillating performances by ace flutist Rasika Shekar, the twins Sukruti and Prakruti and the King’s Squad dance troupe. Meanwhile master of ceremonies and sultan of stage, actor Maniesh Paul, kept the audience enthralled with his wit and natural ability to engage with a live audience. Model and founder of Dazzle Dust, Chahat Dalal, also joined Maniesh on stage at one point further adding to the audience’s delight.
Supporting the star studded inaugural Just Urbane Awards was our title sponsor 24K by Kolte Patil, TV broadcast partner India Ahead News, style partner Jade Blue Lifestyle, automobile partner BMW Infinity Cars, travel partner Girikand Holidays, hospitality partner St. Regis Mumbai, styling partner Jean Claude Biguine India and pouring partner Kingfisher World.
On the occasion, Abhishek Kulkarni, chairman and MD of Million Group of Companies and publisher of Just Urbane said, “I believe that a media platform must have an awards property that honours achievers in different fields completely on the basis on merit. And that’s exactly what we aim to do with Urbane awards where we aim to have awards in multiple segments relating to lifestyle. We aim to make Urbane Awards one of the most respected and recognised properties in the country.”
