Radisson Blu Hinjewadi Pune hosts the perfect cake mixing ceremony to welcome the New Year.
RADISSON BLU PUNE HINJEWADI MARKS THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW YEAR WITH A CAKE MIXING CEREMONY THAT WAS SPECIAL IN MANY WAYS
Radisson Blu Pune Hinjewadi hosted a cake mixing ceremony to mark the onset of Christmas, and to celebrate the liberty of being who you are. The air had a sense of positivity and merriment, with us attendees happily chatting and dancing the evening away. It was the place to be for the free-spirited people who embrace their individuality and celebrate life to the fullest.
The event was graced by the prominent members of LGBTQ community of the city such as Sonali Dalvi, Niki Ray and Ashish Chopra who emerged to be the 1st runner up of Mr. Gay World India Pageant 2018.
A gleeful Pankaj Saxena, General Manager of Radisson Blu Pune Hinjewadi said, “As the year starts with its last lap of journey, it is the right time to do something special. We, therefore thought of celebrating the freedom of love and to be different every moment with this community,”
It was my first time attending a cake mixing ceremony and Radisson Blu Pune Hinjewadi did not disappoint. Welcome drinks were served while the guests were still arriving and the live band played mellow songs to set the tone for the evening. As the evening progressed, we all donned our chef caps and gloves, ready to commence the cake mixing ceremony along with the hotel staff.
A table with mixing ingredients consisting of dry fruits and nuts was set up alongside bottles of fine wines and whiskeys. Everyone poured one bottle each over the mixture. Laughter was the only sound that could be heard on each end of the mixing table as everyone mixed their ingredients together.
The ceremony was followed by high tea and we enjoyed a spread of exquisite dishes from smoked salmon with cream cheese to mushrooms with cheddar wantons to an enticing rainbow gateaux. I personally, relished the exquisite coral pink wine, ‘Brut Tropicale’, that had subtle hints of peach and passion fruit.
The cake mixing ceremony comes at a time when the world is busy preparing resolutions for the New Year, but Radisson Blu Pune Hinjewadi made my time special and I’m sure I can speak on behalf of everyone present there when I say that this event inculcated a lingering feeling of happiness and warmth in each one of us.
