Hyundai associates with Universal Music India to launch ‘Hyundai Spotlight’

Wondering what is Hyundai doing with a music corporation? Well, read on to know more about the South Korean marque's new way to connect with you, dubbed ‘Hyundai Spotlight’

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the country's first smart mobility solutions provider and the country's largest exporter since inception, announced the introduction of Hyundai Spotlight in cooperation with Universal Music India today (UMI). Hyundai Spotlight is a platform for aspiring artists from all around India to expose their talents to the entire country. This partnership is slated to debut with the release of the first song, 'Dhoonde Sitaare,' which features Aastha Gill and King, two well-known singers. In its initial year, this platform will feature six original songs, as well as multiple surround content programming to reflect multiple regions and languages across India.

Mr Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing, and Service) upon launching Hyundai Spotlight said, “A one-of-a-kind enabler platform, Hyundai Spotlight intends to discover, incubate, and promote emerging musical talent in India, reaffirming our brand thought ‘Beyond Mobility'. With our new collaboration with Universal Music India, we are confident that ‘Hyundai Spotlight’ will enable and motivate many young artists to come forward and showcase their talent.” 

By leveraging UMI's partner relationships and efforts, Hyundai Spotlight seeks to assist emerging talents with the greatest Artists and Repertoire advise, as well as international video production quality and marketing. Mr Devraj Sanyal, MD & CEO of UMG India & South Asia, expressed his delight at the association with Hyundai. Mr. Devraj said, “At Universal Music, it’s our continued endeavour to let talent blossom. No matter where you’re from or how established you are, which is quite often the basic requirement for any artist to get a deal. Being an artist first label, it's our duty to give everyone that privilege purely on meritocracy. We have created Spotlight in partnership with our friends at Hyundai India, who are known to innovate and go where few marketers dare to. The Hyundai Spotlight campaign began with the release of "Dhoondein Sitaare," an exciting collaboration between Aastha Gill and King. The song is a feel-good song about breaking the daily routine and having time to enjoy life and all the lovely things around you. This charming song perfectly encapsulates the Gen Z, which is always eager for new adventures and living life to the fullest. Hyundai hopes to connect with Gen Z and millennials, the largest car-buying population in India, with this music effort. The goal is to create a platform for emerging talent in the country to flourish. Hyundai Spotlight supports Hyundai Motor India's brand strategy of "Beyond Mobility," which strives to influence the company's future.
