Akshay Kumar visits the Pune-ites to share a special love story with a message.
With the Republic Day just around the corner, the buzz around Padman has been increasing every day. Akshay Kumar, who plays the lead Laxmikant in the movie, recently visited Seasons Mall, Pune was covered by Just Urbane Magazine while he interacted with the crowd to spread awareness regarding women hygiene and the taboo around menstruation. The message Akshay kept stressing on, was that no woman needs to be embarrassed as menstruation is the most natural part of being human, and also the most important part because it is the first step in creation of life.
The movie, which is based on the real life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, is a beautiful love story about a man and the love for his wife which prevents him from seeing her in any pain. When asked about the tagline, Superhero hai yeh pagla, Akshay says that a person needs to be a madman to achieve something great. His ending note is something that would stay with all us for a long time, “Woman strong, country strong!”
