For all the car enthusiasts out there, the new sensational Porsche 911 is now entering the eighth generation and is faster, wider and more powerful than ever.
With its timeless and modern design, the new Porsche 911 includes intelligent electro-wizardry as well as innovative assistance systems that is masterfully combined with uncompromising dynamism that the classic rear-engine sports car is famed for, meeting the demands of the digital world.
For the base crust let’s first take into account the engine. The next generation of Porsche’s flat-six turbocharged unit has been further developed and is more powerful than ever, with 444bhp in the Carrera S form. It uses a newly developed eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. 0-100kmph is achieved in a mere 3.4 seconds.
For toppings, the exterior design for 911 is completely new (not really), with significantly wider wheel housings over the 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels. At the front, the body is 45 mm wider. The electric pop-out handles in the doors and the recessed bonnet between the LED headlights emphasises the first generation design of the 911. What dominates the models is the rear section, which is significantly wider paired with a seamless, elegant light bar. Apart from the front and rear sections, the entire outer skin is now made from aluminium.
The game changing feature of the models are focussed in the interiors. Characterised by clear and straight lines of the dashboard with recessed instruments, the new 911 also features a 10.9 inch monitor screen, with compact switch unit for direct access to important vehicle functions.
The additional sprinkles to the all the layers includes the standard safety and comfort assistance system. From the Porsche Wet mode, to make driving on wet roads even safer, to the Night Vision Assist with thermal imaging camera, the car also offers digitised features like the Porsche Road Trip app for extraordinary tours, the Porsche 360+ personal assistant, and the web-based Porsche Impact emissions calculator for neutralising your individual carbon footprint.
