The brand is known to offer functionality and innovative designs infused with company’s heritage of sophistication and crafted to the highest standards through the skills of its artisans in each of its products.
Montblanc, the highest mountain in the Alpes and Europe, inspired Wilhelm Dziambor, Christian Lausen and Claus Johannes Voss to change their ordinary pen manufacturing company’s name to it. Replicating the mountain, the three founders wanted to make their pen manufacturing company reach heights. Long gone are those days and today, they have left their stamp in sections ranging from watches, writing instruments, leather goods, smart devices, accessories and stationery and refills. And now, they have finally entered the luggage category too.
It was the 14th of June that Montblanc transformed the Limonaia Corsini and its surroundings into an energising destination for the launch of its brand new #MY4810 luggage collection. Artists took the location, which usually resonates with history and transformed it into something completely unexpected. Exclusively made in Italy, the brand’s new line of trolleys in five different sizes, comprising of a pilot case, two cabins-sized trolleys (one with a front pocket) and two larger trolleys is defined by high performance, sleek modern design and versatility, and is a tribute to exploration and wanderlust, created for today’s travellers making unexpected connections along the way. The loyal acquirers of the brand tend to take a part of Montblanc in all stage’s of their life, hence, it was important to launch a full luggage collection to complete the family. The brand is known to offer functionality and innovative designs infused with company’s heritage of sophistication and crafted to the highest standards through the skills of its artisans in each of its products.
The line is specifically designed for people who are on the go. However, they could not neglect the idea of the luggage being light weighted. Hence, they used polycarbonate with a nylon interior, giving plenty of pockets for storage. But one cannot completely disregard the brand’s identity, which in this case is their “leather”. It is used as a stylistic touch on specific places like handles, the corners, as a band along the front of the bags with the Montblanc name, and for a small tab that easily can be personalized by the luxury brand with the owner’s initials. They specifically made sure that they get it made in Italy because, for the brand, that’s what real leather is. To add to the luxury element, the ball bearing wheels are sourced from Japan and the telescopic handle from Germany. The Japanese ball bearings allow 360-degree rotation with the slightest effort and a smooth motion. The German telescopic handle can be set to any position.
It will be available in July at Montblanc boutiques worldwide and on the Montblanc website, and the loyal customers cannot wait for it enough.
