Stepping towards a greener future is everyone’s primary aim in life these days and driving around with the same luxury and class is something you would definitely want, wouldn't you? This is why Bentley has brought in its second hybrid car after the Bentayga, the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid. Needless to say, this car is a part of Bentley’s  Beyond 100 strategy and strengthens Bentley’s commitment as a brand towards a carbon-neutral organisation by joining the portfolio.

The Flying Spur Hybrid has undergone some technical updates to make it a hybrid despite the fact that it receives minimalist cosmetic updates outside and inside to make it apart from the standard Flying Spur. Under the hood, the Spur Hybrid gets a 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine combined with an electric motor, producing 536bhp and 750Nm. The electric motor is powered by a 14.1 kWh battery pack and the outputs are significantly more than the Bentayga Hybrid. Bentley claims that the Spur Hybrid can hit a ton in just 4.3 seconds and attain a top speed of 285 kmph and features three driving modes - EV Drive, Hybrid and Hold.

Overall on the outside, the Flying Spur is similar to its ICE counterparts, but the optional 20-inch, 21-inch and 22-inch wheels in three different finishes are new. Except for a hybrid badging on the front right fender nothing has changed on the outside whereas on the inside, you will notice some hybrid-specific graphics, a heads-up display, an engine start/stop switch that has now turned into a drive mode selector for the hybrid and a car-connected feature with an embedded sim that allows you to access information like car statistics, battery health and cabin comfort.

The Flying Spur Hybrid is expected to go on sale in American markets by end of this year and there is no official confirmation of it coming to India soon. However, if launched in India, expect it to be priced with a hefty tag of around Rs 4 crore as the brand allows you to drive around clean and green with ultimate luxury.
